✨ Retreat Recap 2 ✨
This women’s retreat began with a table of strangers gathered for a nourishing meal — the first of many moments of connection. 🌸

The evening flowed into a restorative yoga and sound class, setting the tone for what was to come.

The next morning greeted us with fresh coffee, tea, and a wholesome breakfast before @milougre guided us through a deeply grounding yoga practice. ☀️

We then journeyed inward through Inner Dance, exploring our inner landscapes and co-creating a shared space of trust and transformation.

After a heartfelt sharing circle to harvest our wisdom, we enjoyed another nourishing vegetarian meal 🥗 before diving into a Zen Tangle workshop — blending creativity, mindfulness, and community.

As the sun set, we gathered for a fire ceremony under the moonlight 🌕 — burning, witnessing, and releasing what no longer serves us, and igniting what truly sets our souls on fire. 🔥

The following morning brought a gentle yoga, yoga nidra, and sound experience, closing our journey in softness and gratitude. We ended by the lake, returning to the leaves we had opened with — each one holding an intention we wished to call in. 🍃

Between sessions, there was space to rest, reflect, and connect — moments of laughter, deep discussion, and being held fully in sisterhood. 💫

This weekend was a true celebration of community, sisterhood, and friendship.

Standing in this room I created from my heart, I find myself reflecting on the last six months — the tears, the smiles, the hugs this space has witnessed.

There’s a humanity that lives here. A place where we can simply be — seen, imperfect, yet unified. Where the untold is revealed, and the unimaginable becomes possible.

A year ago, I was renting a space. Now, a year later, I own my own.

As I turn inward once again, I feel myself entering a potent season of becoming. Looking back, I see that this past year has been a preparation — a becoming of something I’ve never been before, a realization that the life and world I carry in my heart is one I am slowly building and becoming. Something that can’t be understood but felt and embodied.

And even though this transformation has been one of the most uncomfortable I’ve experienced in a long time — full of inner turmoil — the truth is, when I look around, I realize I have no choice but to follow, blindly at times, what a lot don’t see.

Because somewhere deep within, I know this unfolding — as uncertain as it feels — is exactly where I’m meant to be.

Thank you to the beautiful souls who show up — and, most of all, for the trust you give me to hold this space in reverence. I truly believe in a world where love pioneers our existence, community brakes systems and I know I cant pioneer this change without you.

Witnessing you guys makes my heart explode! What a gift to be able to oeuvre the way I am.

Standing in this room I created from my heart, I find myself reflecting on the last six months — the tears, the smiles, the hugs this space has witnessed.

I had a plan.

I had a drive that used to feel unshakable.
The kind of focus that kept me grounded, ambitious, and moving forward—no matter what.
I opened up as wide as I could to everything that came.

I faced it—not always with the most grace—but with my entire heart.
Held within me.
Held through me.

And then—
I broke through the old paradigm the conditionings.

Everything changed.

Not fighting to survive.
Not pushing through.
Not eager to “bounce back.”
In fact, I don’t care for or want any of those things anymore.

Just to lean against a tree and breathe in cohesion with it.
To feel the sun as it kisses my skin or the birds song in the earliest hours.
To notice the way morning flowers bloom wide open,
only to fold again by midday.
To watch leaves fall one by one as the season changes now—
In admiration of how gracefully the tree lets go.
It brings me to tears daily if I can be fully honest.

Absence.
Loss.
Space.

This doesn’t feel like turning a page.
It feels like starting a new book.
One where the paper is blank, and the ink is rare.
Sacred.
Something precious that must be chosen with care.

If you’re here too—questioning, shifting, grieving, rebuilding—

There’s beauty in beginning again.

This week, during my fast and daily Ashtanga practice, a lot has surfaced around authenticity vs. popularity in the yoga world.

I was offered one of the lowest-paid teaching rates I’ve seen in years — $45/hour for what is actually two hours of work with class planing and travel. It was the same rate I earned almost 8 years ago. 🫣

With nearly a decade of teaching, over 850h RYT training, and the work I put in both on and off the mat, I had to ask myself: Would I accept this?

The answer is NO!
I can be many things, but undervaluing my worth isn’t one of them.

It’s time this industry recognizes that paying teachers less than $60/hour (in 🇨🇦)— as a STARTING rate for experienced, full time, certified instructors — is not sustainable.

Even if this is your side hustle, you deserve to be paid fairly!

And that’s what’s so beautiful about this work: it’s not a solo journey. Healing is like planting a tree 🌳—we start with small seeds, nurture them with love and patience, and grow together, each of us contributing in our own way. When we’re ready, we share our fruits and seeds with others, knowing that we’re all part of the same circle.

This journey didn’t start with sunshine and rainbows. It started with homelessness, anxiety, depression, addiction, eating disorders, and feeling lost in my own skin. I’ve walked through some of the darkest places—places I never thought I’d come back from.

But I did. And not by avoiding the pain—but by facing it. By making peace with the darkness. By learning to sit in it, breathe through it, and slowly, let it teach me. That’s where the alchemy happened. That’s where I began to turn my pain into power. 💫

I began to take my pain and use it as fuel. I took those hard lessons and turned them into wisdom. I took the weight of my struggles and, slowly, turned it into resilience.

Something about me is that I was born with two very defined power centres, the gift to see and the gift to action. I needed to leave my country if I was going to see heal and transcend what i needed too.

Travel gave me new perspectives, yoga taught me to ground myself, and the incredible healers and wisdoms keepers i met along the way offered little nuggets of light and guidance in support of my own abilities and inner nature. 🌍✨

People call me “sunshine,” and I smile, because I know what it took to earn that light. It’s not because I’ve never known darkness—it’s because I made peace with it. And now, I help others find their own light too.

Homecoming.

After months away, I’ve finally landed back home—though not just in the physical sense. Travel stretches you. It opens and fragments you. It reveals what you didn’t know you were carrying. Now, I’m giving myself the grace to be still. To gather the pieces. To integrate.

It’s not about performing—it’s about returning to myself every single day.

My main goal does not start by making the pose perfect even tho alignment is important to me and my teachings.

Even when the gaze is off.

Now, in my 37th year, I find myself nowhere close to where I thought I’d be. Not better. Not worse. Just... different. And honestly, I’m not sure I ever truly knew what “there” was supposed to look like for me.

In a world facing complex crises—inequality, racism, climate change—it’s easy to feel powerless. But the truth is, real change starts with individuals willing to look inward and live with intention. Personal transformation is the first step toward collective impact and my sensitive heart cannot live any-other way, in-fact, it fuels my empathy.

I’ve met myself through more phases than the moon. And yet, here I am—on my fourth trip to India—looking around and thinking: Damn, what a life. That awe has become a theme lately. Awe at where my feet land. Awe at the souls I get to call friends and this driving force that continues to push me to the edge of my own abilities/perceptions.

I’ve never felt so free. So happy. Sure, worry still visits me now and then, but I’ve learned there’s grace in letting things unfold in their own time. I’ve come to find beauty in the soft power of a genuine smile, in the way the eyes become gateways to the heart and to accept what life puts in front of me.

So I choose to live consciously. To examine my privilege. To speak out when something isn’t right. To support the Earth by making more sustainable choices, and to uplift others always.

The work I get to do brings me deep gratitude. To have the freedom to move with the creative ebbs and flows, to travel as I have for the past three years—it all continues to teach me to trust the little whispers that guide me.

I’ve seen things most wouldn’t believe. I’ve lived and loved with a depth I didn’t know existed and most will never experiences.

So I surrender—even deeper. To expectations. To perceptions. To pressures.
 Because there is nowhere else to be, and no one else to be, than here and now.

Here’s to another trip around the sun.

Grace 🕊️

I find myself overwhelmed in it these days.

Travelling solemnly on the inclinations of grace for the first time in my life letting myself be carried by where the wind takes me. In full trust that the paths reveals itself in its Devine time and what is meant to be will be.

Observing the sensations when they arise and surrendering entirely. Catching myself when I devi from the path and meeting myself with patience, more slowness. Continuing to fine tune my instrument of freedom and alchemy.

Bravery, a word I have Hurd a few times this week from others of me. That word in the past made me feel like a soldier but now it resonates very differently within me.

Bravery, in its healed expression, transforms into grace. It is a beautiful place that is cultivated by following a path of trust and devotion of the heart. It’s the universe saying I have a plan for you as it extends its hand out for yours and you take a step into the unknown.

I accept with all of me I accept 🙏🏻

I know my work looks scary to some and I can understand why. It took me a long time to get to where I am today and to understand the things that I do.

I am now approaching over 100 sessions and witnessing the transformation of the clients who are coming back, committed to their goals and transforming their lives.

If you would have asked me a year ago would I have believed I would have a practice and clients who would come to see me, I would have probably not believed you.

This time last year, I was laid off from my job, at the hospital almost 3X a week taking care of the man I loved who was dying of terminal cancer. I don’t think I even believed I would ever be able to live entirely again to be honest, let alone have my own practice.

But here is the thing about healing ❤️‍🩹, it takes works and it takes commitment and it takes help.

I did not have the people I needed to support me in that particular phase in my life but I found some that could. I would not honer the person who left if I stayed in that hurt and without this experience I would not have alchemised into the person I am today. I’m not saying grief does not knock on my door but my house is solid and I get to decide if I let it in. I have also added a couples guest houses in case I need back up!

I often get asked if I am drained or scared during sessions and the answer is no, witnessing people release and come back to self can only be done from a place of deeply rooted connection and understanding that stems from abondante clean source energy.

I see it all and it has space to be witnessed and transcended.

Darkness is nearly the absence of light 💡 and an invitation back to self.

Books are full but I have opened 4 available dates exceptionally in October.
