Walking Through the Kambo Fire: A Journey of Surrender and Renewal

Updated: Sep 23

Before my upcoming departure, we gathered in our temple space for a deeply moving Kambo ceremony. It was an intimate circle—three participants and our beautiful facilitator—who guided us with unwavering presence, holding the space with care and clarity.

For those unfamiliar, Kambo is a secretion from the Amazonian frog, rich in peptides and traditionally used by indigenous tribes for cleansing, strengthening, and renewing the body and spirit. The medicine is applied through small burns on the skin. Unlike other plant medicines, Kambo doesn’t take you on a visionary journey—it goes straight to work, purging what no longer serves. It is legal and recognized as a profound detoxifier, supporting body, mind, and spirit in deep alignment.

Our ceremony was held in sangha, opening in sacred connection and closing with Hapé, which sealed the medicine and the energy beautifully. For me, the effects of the ceremony stretched across the week before and after, arriving with perfect divine timing.

What I see more clearly now is that the work many of us are engaged in is immensely significant in this time. The pathway of Shakti—the feminine current of balance, harmony, and service—feels like the only true way forward. It is a path rooted in surrender, not domination. Anything outside this alignment continues to repeat in cycles, while the Shakti current carries us toward renewal, healing, and collective awakening.

This ceremony was both a clearing and a reminder: we are walking together into a future where power is surrendered into love, and balance is restored.

Over the past five months, I have sat with this frequency in my hands—moving through the pains of surrender, feeling the aches of opening fully to the crisis unfolding in the collective, witnessing humanity’s tendencies to lie, betray, and abandon.

I chose the difficult way: to sit through the storm rather than turn away. And I continue to choose it, because I know deeply that if we want true change, we must stop numbing ourselves, stop looking away.

With time, with devotion, we can create the worlds we long for—the ones our hearts already know are possible. Love is our purest form, and it is from love that the future will be born.

Your heart was made for this.
